Responsibilities
* Oversee the daily operation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimisation of the Company's wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) and incineration facilities.
* Monitor treatment plant performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability,environmental performance, and regulatory compliance.
* Lead investigations and implementation of corrective actions for process, operational, and environmental issues relating to wastewater treatment and incineration systems.
* Plan, coordinate, and oversee environmental improvement projects, including incinerator upgrades,process modifications, chimney replacement works, and treatment system enhancements.
* Liaise directly with NEA and other regulatory authorities on environmental compliance matters,inspections, audits, reporting requirements, licence conditions, and project approvals.
* Prepare environmental reports, technical submissions, regulatory applications, ash disposal applications, and supporting documentation required by regulatory authorities.
* Manage and monitor wastewater, sludge, ash, and related waste inventories to ensure smooth plant operations and regulatory compliance.
* Review new plant development and modification projects to assess environmental impacts,including wastewater generation, trade effluent discharge requirements, air emissions, waste generation, and environmental licensing requirements.
* Work closely with project teams, consultants, contractors, and management to ensure environmental requirements are incorporated into project design and execution.
* Coordinate environmental monitoring, sampling, testing, and reporting activities.
* Manage contractors and service providers involved in wastewater treatment, incineration systems,environmental infrastructure, and compliance-related works.
* Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental, safety, and operational requirements.
Requirements
* Degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering,or related discipline.
* Minimum 3 years of experience in wastewater treatment, industrial process plants, environmental compliance, waste treatment facilities, incineration systems, or related industries.
* Role is primarily based at the Company's offshore island facility. Candidate must be comfortable working in an industrial offshore environment.
* Experience liaising with regulatory authorities such as NEA is preferred.
* Knowledge of waste water treatment processes, trade effluent requirements, air emission control systems,and environmental regulations.
* Strong analytical,problem-solving, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple environmental and operational priorities.
