Senior IBMS Engineer (SCADA)

Position Overview

The Senior IBMS Engineer (SCADA) is a high-level technical authority role created to eliminate system instability, server crashes, and software configuration anomalies across our project portfolio. Instead of executing individual project software setups, this role focuses on the architectural governance, feature standardization, and operational procedures of our supervisory platforms. The successful candidate will define mandatory corporate engineering rules for SCADA server sizing, graphics templates, and core function deployments to guarantee a robust setup. By providing expert technical support, creating robust technical documentation, enforcing strict pre-handover Quality Assurance and Quality Control audit checklists, and supporting sales innovation, you will ensure our systems are reliable and robust.

Key Responsibilities

• Author mandatory engineering guidelines for sizing SCADA host servers, memory allocation, storage throughput, and virtual machine layouts based on project point counts and archiving demands.
• Establish comprehensive standardization guidelines for SCADA features and core functions while outlining the exact correct engineering procedures for programmers to implement them.
• Develop a unified SCADA graphic design library and Human-Machine Interface template that standardizes color codes, device symbols, navigation trees, and multi-level user privileges.
• Create mandatory Quality Assurance and Quality Control checklists based on established standards to audit and govern SCADA software deployments across all project teams.
• Enforce compliance with the company guidelines by auditing software setups and ensuring all programmers strictly follow the authorized development standards.
• Provide advanced technical support and prepare comprehensive technical documentation to resolve complex software anomalies and stabilize SCADA platform performance.
• Support the sales team by developing innovative software concepts, advanced technical integrations, and cutting-edge features to pitch competitive and robust solutions to clients.

Requirements

• Minimally a Degree in Engineering / Computer Science / a related automation discipline.
• Preferably with at least 6 to 8 years of specialized experience configuring, architecting, and troubleshooting software configurations on major SCADA platforms.
• The role demands an expert-level understanding of integrating industrial automation protocols into SCADA systems including BACnet, Modbus, and OPC UA.
• Hands-on proficiency with database configuration, SQL query optimization, history logs, and alarm management frameworks is strictly required.
• Possess a highly methodical approach to software architecture, auditing frameworks, and technical documentation writing.
• Strong capability to balance rigid engineering governance with creative thinking is essential to effectively support innovative sales developments.
