We are seeking an experienced professional to lead service and operations transformation initiatives, with a strong focus on the planning, development and operational readiness of new and redeveloped healthcare facilities. This role is ideal for candidates with a background in facilities development, healthcare architecture, space planning or project management, who are passionate about improving healthcare service delivery through innovative design, operational excellence and cross-functional collaboration.
You will play a key role in translating strategic objectives into operational outcomes by driving facility planning, workflow optimisation, commissioning activities and service transformation initiatives that enhance patient experience and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage multidisciplinary project teams in the planning, development and operationalisation of new and redeveloped healthcare facilities.
Drive strategic initiatives to improve service delivery, operational efficiency and patient experience through process redesign and service transformation.
Oversee the end-to-end planning of healthcare facility projects, including:
Spatial planning and workflow design
Functional planning
Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E) planning and procurement
Manpower and operational readiness planning
IT coordination
Testing, commissioning and go-live activities
Collaborate with architects, engineers, facilities teams, clinical stakeholders and external consultants to ensure facilities are designed to support efficient and patient-centric operations.
Facilitate stakeholder engagement across multiple departments to drive alignment, change management and successful implementation of transformation initiatives.
Establish project plans, monitor milestones, manage risks and ensure timely delivery of key project deliverables.
Analyse operational performance and recommend continuous improvement initiatives to optimise workflows, space utilisation and service outcomes.
Support the adoption of new technologies, digital solutions and innovative models of care to improve operational effectiveness.
Requirements
Degree in Architecture, Building Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
At least 7 years of experience in healthcare facilities development, capital projects, healthcare architecture, space planning, operational readiness or service transformation.
Experience planning or delivering new healthcare facilities, redevelopment projects, hospitals, specialist centres or polyclinics will be highly regarded.
Strong understanding of healthcare operational workflows, facility planning principles and project lifecycle management.
Experience managing space planning, functional planning, workflow optimisation and FF&E planning within healthcare environments.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders across clinical, operational and technical functions.
Strong project management, leadership and communication skills.
Experience driving operational improvement, service transformation or healthcare infrastructure projects is advantageous.
