Job Description - Senior Manufacturing Engineer (Aerospace)

Job Description

  • Develop and implement CNC machining processes for precision metal components
  • Translate engineering drawings (including GD&T requirements) into manufacturing workflows
  • Create, review, and validate CNC programs (CAD/CAM) in offline environments
  • Design and optimise tooling, fixturing, and workholding solutions
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) and process industrialisation
  • Troubleshoot machining and production issues to improve yield and efficiency
  • Collaborate with Quality teams on metrology, gauging, and process control
  • Maintain and improve manufacturing documentation, including digital/paperless systems
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production processes

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related Engineering discipline
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in CNC machining / precision manufacturing
  • Prior exposure to aerospace or high-precision environments (e.g. oil & gas, medtech)
  • Strong understanding of:CNC machining processesG-code / M-code conceptsCAD/CAM tools (e.g. Mastercam, NX, SolidCAM)GD&T / ANSI Y14.5 blueprint reading
  • Experience in tooling and fixture design is advantageous
  • Familiarity with metrology and inspection techniques (e.g. CMM)
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to engineering challenges
