SENIOR QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER

Job Summary

The QA QC Manager is responsible for managing and implementing quality assurance and control processes that utilize Non-Destructive Testing techniques. This role ensures that all products meet the required standards for quality and safety. The manager will oversee a team of quality inspectors and collaborate with production teams to maintain high-quality output.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Quality Control functions and inspection schedules to ensure timely collection and filing of Quality Records for project components
• Collaborate with the Construction Manager to address all client-related quality matters effectively
• Assess and verify the implementation of Quality Plans and Quality Control Plans on site to maintain compliance
• Allocate Quality Control personnel strategically across site activities to optimize inspection coverage
• Oversee inspections, review reports and documentation issued by inspectors, ensuring accurate Quality Records management
• Evaluate qualifications of welders and NDT technicians to confirm competency for assigned activities
• Assess qualifications of inspection personnel to maintain high standards of inspection quality
• Support construction management in controlling subcontractor quality performance
• Participate actively in internal and external audits to uphold quality standards and compliance
• Coordinate Tracking Systems to ensure correct identification and traceability of materials on site
• Supervise equipment calibration management activities to guarantee measurement accuracy
• Support Welding and NDT qualification activities to maintain certification standards
• Collaborate in issuing Welding Procedures (WP) to ensure procedural compliance
• Supervise inspection of defect repairs and welding to ensure quality restoration

Required competencies and certifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field
• Certification in relevant NDT methods (e.g., ASNT Level III)
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in quality control and Non-Destructive Testing
• Proven managerial experience in quality control roles
