Job Summary:
The Senior Sales Engineer is responsible for driving sales and business development activities for automation and electrical solutions within the offshore oil and gas sector. This role focuses on promoting and delivering solutions including Low Voltage (LV) Switchboards, Distribution Boards and Power Panels, Motor Control Centers (MCC), PLC/SCADA-based Automation Systems, Power Management Systems (PMS), Instrumentation and Control Panels, Marine and Offshore Electrical Systems and integrated automation packages. The position requires strong technical expertise, commercial acumen, and the ability to manage client relationships across EPCs, shipyards, and offshore operators. This role offers a competitive basic salary plus attractive commission incentives based on sales performance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and develop new business opportunities within offshore oil and gas projects, including FPSOs, platforms, and marine vessels.
• Promote and sell automation systems, LV switchboards, distribution boards, motor control centers (MCCs), and related electrical solutions.
• Review client specifications, technical documents, and project requirements to develop compliant and competitive proposals.
• Prepare technical and commercial quotations, including cost estimation, pricing strategies, and bid submissions.
• Liaise with engineering and project teams to ensure technical alignment and feasibility of proposed solutions.
• Engage with clients, consultants, and EPC contractors to provide technical clarifications, presentations, and product demonstrations.
• Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract award and handover to project execution teams.
• Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and provide after-sales support where required.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, classification society requirements, and client specifications.
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Automation Engineering.
• Minimum 5–8 years of sales experience in automation or electrical systems within offshore oil and gas or marine industry.
• Strong knowledge of LV switchboards, distribution systems, and industrial automation solutions.
• Familiarity with offshore standards and certifications (e.g., IEC, ATEX, Class rules such as ABS, DNV).
• Proven track record in handling tenders, bids, and project sales.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Willingness to travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working with EPC contractors or system integrators.
• Knowledge of hazardous area requirements and offshore compliance standards.
• Established network within offshore oil and gas industry.
