Senior Structural /Naval Architech Engineer

JOB REQUIREMENTS
To develop Basis of Design and ensuring compliance with project design philosophies, standards, procedures, specifications. Overseeing and performing complex/advanced naval arch and structural calculations of F(P)SO Hull, Topside support and hull interface structures, and analyses, including ,intact and damage stability, hydrodynamics, mooring, in-place, pre-service(lifting, loadout, transportation, installation), fatigue, vibration/dynamicresponse, blast, and fire analyses, etc. using the finite element analysis. Optimizing hull & structural designs for efficiency, safety, and environmental compliance and Material Take-off preparation.

Review/Check of Engineering Subcontractors engineering deliverables/computer models, manage/control technical queries, interface information, etc. Proficiency in developing first 3-D geometric model using the pre-processors or Solid Modelling software is preferred. Comprehensive  knowledge of relevant marine and offshore and structural codes, standards like AWD D1.1, API, AISC, ASME, ABS, BV, DNV, ISO19901 series, IMO, MARPOL, OCIMF, etc., including various regulations and industry best design practices.
Preparation of F(P)SO General Arrangement, accommodation layout, hull lines/offset table, specifications, material data sheets for plates, beams shapes, etc.

Knowledge of tanker conversion to F(P)SO, ship & topside structures, welded & bolted joints configurations, etc.

Other works as assigned by Project Engineering Manager/General Manager, Engineering based on person’s forte and project requirements.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT
Bachelor’s/master's degree in civil/Structural/Ocean Engineering & Naval Architecture.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
Minimum 10 Years in structural design and engineering work  within the oil & gas industry especially for F(P)SO or floating installations.  At least 5 years of this experience should be specifically in offshore oil & gas processing projects, including work on F(P)SO, topsides, and subsea structures.  A minimum of 3-5 years' experience should be in a senior or lead role, managing engineering teams or projects.

Software experience in STAAD. Ro/FEMAP/SDC Verifier/ANSYS Workbench/ABS Eagle for FPSO/BV VERISTAR Hull/GHS/SOLIDWORKS/ AutoCAD/VB-Script/Microsoft Office, etc. is required.
