Lead end-to-end whole-building energy modelling for both design-stage and compliance-stage assessments across complex building typologies and large-scale projects.
Develop, review, and refine energy models to support sustainability objectives, decarbonization strategies, high-performance building design, and regulatory/certification submissions.
Conduct parametric, sensitivity, and scenario-based analyses to guide passive and active design decisions throughout concept, schematic, and detailed design phases.
Perform or oversee complementary building performance simulations, including thermal comfort, daylight, glare, passive design, and related studies where required.
Review and interpret architectural, façade, MEP/ACMV, and controls documentation to ensure project-specific and technically robust modelling assumptions.
Collaborate closely with project directors, sustainability consultants, and MEP/design teams to translate simulation results into practical design recommendations.
Establish and maintain modelling QA/QC procedures to improve consistency, enhance delivery efficiency, and mitigate project risks.
Serve as the primary technical expert and client-facing specialist for energy modelling projects in Singapore and across the region.
Provide mentorship to junior analysts and modellers while strengthening technical expertise across SRO, Atelier Ten, and related teams.
Coordinate with offshore/GDC teams as needed and act as the technical liaison between local and remote project delivery teams.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Building Science, Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Sustainable Design, Integrated Building Design, or a related field.
Proven experience in building energy modelling and sustainable building design, preferably within consulting environments delivering complex non-residential or mixed-use developments.
Hands-on proficiency with recognised energy modelling software such as IES VE, EnergyPlus, DesignBuilder, OpenStudio, or equivalent platforms.
Strong skills in geometry and model development using tools such as Rhino, SketchUp, Revit, or similar software.
Experience interpreting architectural, ACMV/MEP, and construction documentation to define simulation inputs and validate modelling assumptions.
Working knowledge of Green Mark, LEED, PRM/code compliance processes, energy auditing, high-performance building design, zero-energy/zero-carbon studies, or comparable frameworks.
Ability to conduct or supervise supporting analyses, including daylighting, glare, thermal comfort, passive design optimisation, and building envelope sensitivity studies.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to clearly present technical findings to both internal teams and clients.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects effectively within tight deadlines.
