SENIOR TECHNICIAN

Senior Technician  is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing maintenance activities as well as hands on experience on rotating  equipment, machinery, and facilities operate safely and efficiently.

Job Description

KeyResponsibilities

• Supervise and lead maintenance technicians and contractors.
• Plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues.
• Monitor maintenance work quality and compliance with safety standards.
• Coordinate maintenance shutdowns, turnarounds, and repairs.
• Manage spare parts inventory and maintenance records.
• Prepare maintenance reports, budgets, and work schedules.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Liaise with operations, engineering, and external vendors to support plant activities.

The minimum requirement as follows:-

A. Experiences

Minimum 3  years of maintenance experience in the following industries :
Oil Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical Processing, Power Generation, Manufacturing, Marine or MRO services.

B. Education

• Diploma /  ITE in Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Technical  Professional Certificate/NiTEC certification are advantageous.

C. Technical Skills

• Knowledge of rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines, motors).
• Understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.
• Familiarity with CMMS systems (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo).
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical manuals.
• Root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills.

D. Leadership Skills

• Team supervision and workforce planning.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage contractors and multiple priorities.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Lead a team of technicians to perform maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO)activities on rotating equipment in refinery and petrochemical facilities,ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective plant operation.
