Senior Tender Manager

Role Purpose

The Senior Tender Manager is responsible for building & leading a team of Tender Managers who are responsible for managing the end-to-end tendering process for Category D and transactional business opportunities, ensuring timely, accurate, and competitive proposals.

This role plays a critical part in empowering the tender team and sales organization to win profitably by delivering faster, simpler, and technically excellent offers to our customers.

This role shall constantly look for opportunity of strengthening standardization, margin discipline, and operational efficiency. Tender Leader contributes directly to Schneider Electric’s ambition to improve customer experience, enable sustainable business growth, and develop high-performance-team.

Key Responsibilities

Tender Management

• Manage workload and tasks allocation to Tender Managers to prepare and deliver high-quality technical and commercial proposals for Category D projects
• Ensure compliance with internal governance (DoA, pricing & margin guidelines, risk assessment).
• Ensure manage of technical clarifications and deviations with customers.
• Collaborate with factories and engineering teams for accurate offer configuration.

Pricing & Margin Control

• Apply market-based pricing strategies and maintain visibility on offer performance (Top Line & GM).
• Support price list updates

Coordination & Communication

• Work closely with Sales, Project Management, Engineering, Offer Marketing, prescription team, Service team, Product Application Engineer & System Architecture Experts
• Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline visibility in BFO.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders on tender status and risks.

Customer Focus

• Respond quickly to customer requirements and ensure timely delivery of proposals.
• Support technical discussions and optimize solutions to meet customer needs.

Building Team

• Ensure resource and tools required of tender team.
• Continue team development plan, not only the competence improvements, but also career development
• Motivate, Coach to build a High-Performance-Team

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Power Distribution, primarily in Engineering and Tendering, within similar or closely related industry
• Proven team leadership and people management experience, with the ability to lead and develop high-performing teams
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence across different levels of the organization
• Experience working within multinational organizations or complex, highly matrixed environment
• Collaborative mindset with an open, agile, and solution-oriented approach
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive alignment in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment
• Ability to work cross-functionally and build strong partnerships across diverse teams and geographies
