Senior/Executive Electrical Engineer with Renowned Transport Provider

About the Role

An established transport provider is looking for a reliable electrical engineer to provide solutions to problems affecting the Signaling, Communication & Control system and the equipment associated with it.

You will have the sole responsibility of conducting root cause analysis, reliability, and corrective engineering. This role is ideal for someone who has experience handling electrical systems and related equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance personnel and other internal departments to examine defects and eventually develop solutions and suggest modifications to enhance existing maintenance processes and frameworks.
• Monitor and analyse defect records over time to spot recurring problems, identify degradation patterns or potential failures and develop solutions, or modify or suggest enhancements to existing ones to overcome them.
• Draft instructions for technical work for preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Identify and implement economic technologies to improve the company’s Signaling, Communication & Control System Performance.
• Review project design specifications to ensure robustness, dependability, serviceability, and operational readiness. To provide ad-hoc support to other projects whenever necessary.
• Recognise and escalate safety issues in the workplace.
• Work in any company work site.
• Work in rotating or fixed shifts.
• Other tasks or function as assigned by the supervisor to support the work scope (training and necessary qualifications will be provided by the company). These include, but are not limited to:
  > Administrative duties
  > Attending to emergency operational issues
  > Supporting the execution of projects (e.g., reviewing contractor’s work progress, attendance to contractors, etc.,)
  > Preparing of reports     

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
