Service Engineer (Machine Tools / CNC Machining)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated and technically skilled Service Engineer to provide technical support, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting services for CNC machine tools. The successful candidate will support customers in Singapore and overseas, while working closely with the Service and Application teams to ensure high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction. 

Responsibilities 

• Provide on-site servicing, maintenance, and troubleshooting support for CNC machining centers, lathes, CNC controllers, and ProCobots.

• Support installation, commissioning, and preventive maintenance activities for CNC machines.

• Develop and implement service programs for the installed base, including inspection, preventive maintenance, geometry checks, and laser calibration.

• Plan and coordinate pre-shipment inspection of CNC machines at the warehouse before delivery to overseas markets.

• Prepare and update customer maintenance guides based on best practices.

• Monitor and respond to customer service call requests in a timely manner.

• Work closely with the Service and Application teams to support customers and distributors in Singapore and overseas.

• Provide guidance and technical support to junior service engineers when required.

• Carry out both electrical and mechanical repair and troubleshooting work.

• Travel islandwide and overseas when required for customer support.

Requirements

• NITEC, Higher NITEC, or Diploma in an Engineering discipline.

• Minimum 7 years of relevant working experience in engineering, maintenance, or field service.

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in repair and maintenance of CNC machining centers and lathes.

• Experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair.

• Strong ability to manage and schedule field service work effectively.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

• Class 3 driving license is preferred.

• Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and customer service mindset.
