Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret electrical schematics to locate and terminate wiring for control panels, sensors, and actuators.
• Test, troubleshoot, and replace faulty electrical and automation components, including relays, VFDs, and power supplies.
• Conduct point-to-point checks to ensure all sensor inputs and actuator outputs align with PLC/HMI software mapping.
• Upload, download, and modify PLC and HMI programs for troubleshooting and commissioning activities.
• Monitor live PLC logic and sequences using laptop-based software to identify process or sequence issues.
• Access inverter parameters and configure required settings to ensure smooth and safe machine operation.
• Perform basic calibration of motors, encoders, and related motion components.
• Analyse machine cycle times, alarms, and error logs to support predictive maintenance and reduce downtime.
• Respond promptly to service calls and perform scheduled maintenance, ensuring equipment is fully tested before handover.
• Assemble, deliver, install, and commission equipment at customer sites, including user training where required.
• Maintain professional conduct when liaising with clients, representing the organisation with integrity and reliability.
• Comply with all Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) policies, safe work procedures, and engineering best practices.
• Maintain good housekeeping and discipline at workshops, offices, and customer sites.
• Execute service contracts, prepare parts recommendations for repair, and complete service orders upon job completion.
• Support managers during seminars, workshops, and product demonstrations on an ad-hoc basis.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the service function to enhance reliability, quality, and professionalism.

Requirements:

• Diploma or equivalent technical qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field.
• Experience in servicing and repairing overhead cranes is an added advantage.
• Technical knowledge in automotive or industrial equipment repair and maintenance.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively as a team player.
• Willingness to work at height and at customer sites.
• Possession of a valid Class 3 or 3A driving licence is an added advantage.
• Team player with good discipline, safety awareness, and a responsible work attitude.
