SITE ENGINEER

About the role

We are looking for a responsible and experienced Site Engineer to manage on-site construction activities and ensure that projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in line with quality standards and project requirements. 

Responsibilities 

• Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities at the project site.

• Monitor site progress and ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and schedules.

• Liaise with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and relevant authorities as required.

• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.

• Prepare and submit site reports, progress updates, and project documentation.

• Resolve technical issues and provide engineering solutions during the construction stage.

• Monitor material usage and site resources to reduce wastage.

• Ensure all works comply with local regulations, company policies, and client requirements.

• Attend site meetings and coordinate project activities with stakeholders.

• Assist in project planning, scheduling, and cost control.

• Review method statements, risk assessments, and work procedures.

• Ensure proper implementation of workplace safety and health (WSH) requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 2–5 years of relevant construction site experience.

• Good understanding of construction methods, materials, and engineering practices.

• Familiarity with local building regulations and safety requirements.

• Able to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.

• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

• Able to work independently and under pressure to meet project deadlines.

• Able to communicate in Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients, consultants, subcontractors, or site stakeholders when required.
