SITE QS ENGINEER– ELECTRICAL (Commercial)

About the Role

We are looking for a Site QS Engineer (Electrical) to support tendering and commercial activities for M&E projects. The role involves cost estimation, tender preparation, contract administration and coordination with internal teams, suppliers and subcontractors throughout the tender process.

Responsibilities 

• Assist in the preparation, review and administration of contracts, tender documents and commercial submissions.

• Prepare budget estimates, cost plans and pricing based on project requirements.

• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations, technical information and commercial proposals.

• Review tender requirements and provide practical solutions to resolve technical or commercial issues during the tender stage.

• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely preparation and submission of tender documentation.

• Monitor supplier and subcontractor quotations, bills and quantity-related matters throughout the tender process.

• Evaluate and maintain updated market rates for materials and labour to support accurate cost estimation.

• Prepare complete tender handover documentation for the project team upon successful award.

• Attend site briefings, tender site visits and project walkthroughs when required.

• Prepare tender clarifications and support tender interviews, presentations and client queries.

• Perform other quantity surveying and commercial duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying or tendering within an M&E contractor or subcontractor environment.

• Experience in cost estimation, tender preparation and contract administration.

• Candidates with both site engineering experience and quantity surveying experience will have a strong advantage.

• Good understanding of M&E construction practices, tender processes and commercial documentation.

• Strong communication, coordination and analytical skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
