SITE SUPERVISOR

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead construction teams including workers, subcontractors, and other on-site staff, ensuring tasks are completed according to project plans and specifications .
• Ensure health and safety compliance by enforcing safety regulations, conducting site inspections, and addressing hazards immediately .
• Coordinate project activities with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients to align work with timelines and quality standards .
• Manage resources and materials, including ordering supplies, scheduling equipment maintenance, and monitoring inventory to prevent delays or overstock 
• Monitor performance and productivity of employees, providing guidance, training, and corrective action when necessary 
• Maintain accurate records of site activities, employee attendance, progress reports, and incidents .
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting to resolve conflicts, delays, or technical issues that may affect project timelines or budgets .
• Prepare reports and updates for stakeholders, including project progress, resource needs, and safety compliance .

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma is minimum; a bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is often preferred .
• Certifications: OSHA safety certification, first aid/CPR, and professional credentials like Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Certified Professional Constructor (CPC) enhance employability.
• Experience: Typically 5–10 years in construction management or a similar supervisory role, with proven leadership and project management experience .
• Technical knowledge: Strong understanding of construction methods, building codes, materials, and regulations .
• Soft skills: Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
