Software Design Engineer (Automation)

Responsibilities

• Designing and programming software for automated manufacturing equipment.
• Involves PC-based programming, troubleshooting systems, and maintaining legacy code.
• Designing and writing software for automation control, motion controllers, and vision systems.
• Reviewing, debugging, and improving existing legacy code.
• Diagnosing and fixing software or system issues on deployed, installed equipment.
• Liaising with customers to gather requirements and create technical specifications.
• Writing user manuals and technical reports outlining software functionality.

Requirement

• Min Diploma in Electrical/Electronic engineering/Computer science or related discipline
• Min 2 years of working experience in automation industry
• Proficient in PC based programming (e.g. Visual C#)
• Familiar with PLC programming (e.g. Omron/Beckhoff)
• Familiar with various Motion Controllers/Actuators (e.g. IAI, AD Link)
• Familiar with vision systems (e.g. Cognex)
