Software Lead (Embedded SDK / Firmware)

About the Role

We are seeking a Software Lead to lead the firmware and software development team. This role combines technical leadership and hands-on development responsibility for SDK, firmware, and embedded software supporting SparkGrid optical communication products.

Key Responsibilities:

·      Lead and mentor software engineers in the design, development, and maintenance of SDK and firmware for chips and devices.

·      Drive software architecture, technical roadmap, and development best practices.

·      Participate in system development, maintenance, feature enhancements, and software upgrades.

·      Develop and review software features based on product and customer requirements.

·      Ensure software performance, quality, reliability, scalability, and security requirements are met.

·      Perform hands-on software design, coding, debugging, integration, and problem resolution for critical modules.

·      Collaborate with hardware, ASIC, RTL, validation, application engineering, and system teams during product development and bring-up.

·      Develop software utilities, APIs, diagnostic tools, and supporting applications.

·      Conduct code reviews and establish coding standards and development processes.

·      Own project planning, task allocation, technical risk management, and delivery schedules.

·     Prepare and review technical documentation, design specifications, and development reports.

Requirements:
·      Bachelor's degree or above in Electronics Engineering, Communication Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines.

·      Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded C/C++ development.

·      At least 1–2 years of technical leadership or mentoring experience.

·      Strong foundation in software engineering principles and embedded system development.
