Sr Test Engineer

Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

• Responsible for test source code development, enhancement, modification, test time reduction and test solution trouble shooting to support the smooth production testing in internal or external factories during NPI (New Product Introduction) or HVM (High Volume Manufacturing) phase
• Collaborate with business unit or site product engineering and application engineering on effective test solution deployment with adequate test coverage in compliance to test plan, data sheet and custom applications
• Collaborate with local or site engineering on test solution trouble shooting to address productivity or quality concern like long set-up time or in-line quality failure
• Support specific request of test time reduction opportunities to improve productivity or support urgent demand upside during capacity constraint situation
• Collaborate with site engineering team on customer complaint or quality issue investigation like test information analysis, maverick soft bin trigger / monitoring etc

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering with at least 3 - 8 years of semiconductor industry related experience especially in EF test engineering, product engineering, design, and application related experience
• A good understanding of modern RF communication systems and RF front end component technologies
• Experience working on test equipment such as ATE RF tester, handlers or probers and application lab bench tools
• Committed individuals who is willing to travel APAC and put in extra hours as required based on business needs
• Good communication skills in both English and Chinese as he/she will require to work closely with subcons and counterparts in Asia
• Proficient in Microsoft office and presentations
• Experience in RF measurement or 5G/WIFI 6 / LTE communication is preferred

Highly Desirable (Differentiators):

• Good RF test fundamental knowledge and development experience on modular or instrument-based rack systems
• Cohu LTX test system programming environment, test program debug / maintenance / optimization … etc with platforms of LTX-PAX or LTX-DiamondX models
• Candidates with prior hands-on experience with Test Code Source Generation, Network Analyzers, Oscilloscopes and RF simulation and debugging tools will be an added advantage
• C++/C#/Java/VB.net and JMP scripting language programming capability
• Exposure to schematic design and layout for RF sections
