Structural Design Engineer

Role Overview
We are seeking a technically strong and detail-oriented Structural Design Engineer to support the design, analysis, and delivery of civil, structural, and geotechnical works. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure that structural designs are safe, compliant, and effectively coordinated from concept through to construction.

Key Responsibilities 

• Prepare structural design calculation reports and technical drawings for submission to relevant authorities in compliance with local codes and regulatory requirements

• Carry out detailed analysis and design of civil, structural, and geotechnical works, including steel and concrete structures

• Coordinate with a range of stakeholders including clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure design alignment and smooth project execution

• Liaise with clients and contractors to assess and address potential design changes, technical queries, and on-site challenges in a timely manner

• Manage design coordination with authorities and contractors to facilitate approvals and ensure construction readiness

• Supervise and inspect construction works to verify that structural works are carried out in accordance with approved designs and specifications

• Support the team in maintaining design quality, accuracy, and consistency across all project deliverables

Requirements 

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognised institution

• Relevant working experience in structural design and analysis within the construction or engineering industry

• Strong engineering fundamentals with sound analytical skills in structural analysis and design

• Proficient in design and drafting software including AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, and PLAXIS, or equivalent tools

• Good understanding of local codes of practice, authority submission requirements, and construction methodologies in Singapore

• Able to interpret and produce structural drawings, design reports, and technical documentation accurately

• Strong coordination and communication skills to liaise effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders

• Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines concurrently

• A proactive team player who can also work independently with minimal supervision
