Project Planning & Scheduling: Develop micro-schedules, track daily progress, and allocate manpower for yard workers and subcontractors. Manage daily man-hour budgets to ensure projects are completed within time and cost targets.
Quality Control & Compliance: Oversee pipe alignment, spool fabrication, and welding to ensure adherence to client specifications and marine classification standards. Coordinate with QC personnel for inspections and hydro-testing.
Safety & Hazard Management: Conduct pre-work risk assessments (RA) and daily toolbox talks. Ensure all workers comply with shipyard safety rules and issue permits for hazardous marine work.
Material Management: Review drawings, prepare Material Take-Offs (MTO), and coordinate with the purchasing department for the timely delivery of pipes, valves, and fittings.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Liaise with Ship Repair Managers, Project Superintendents, and other trades (e.g., mechanical, electrical, structural) to ensure smooth workflow onboard vessels or in the workshop.
Testing & Handover: Support pre-commissioning activities and the compilation of test packages. Resolve punch-list issues prior to final vessel delivery.
