System Design Engineer

WhatYou’ll Do:

·       Developand review system and subsystem design artifacts to meet Customer requirements(operational and safety requirements in particular)

·       Analyzeand evaluate designs to verify compliance with System technical requirements

·       Participatein system performance monitoring and root cause analysis of issues faced inpassenger metro operation or during testing using could-based data analysistools

·       Presenttrade-off analysis, designs and investigations to engineering/management groupsin clear, complete, concise and non-ambiguous terms

·       Contributeto productive technical discussions with Customers, Interface Contractors, andother internal departments

·       Supportbids and projects in Singapore and in the region including but not limited toMalaysia, Hong Kong and Australia

·       Workin our world class CBTC simulation facility to gain hand-on experience with thesignalling system hardware and software, while supporting in-house testing andissue investigations

·       Useand support continuous improvement of our cloud-based data analytics solutionin your day-to-day work

WhoYou Are:

·       Required:

o  BASc in Electrical, Computer, Mechatronics, System DesignEngineering or equivalent

o  Curious and willing to learn technical skills fast and on the fly

o  Good analytical and problem solving skills

o  Strong communication skills to interface with customers and GTSpersonnel around the globe

o  Willingness to collaborate with teams overseas, which requiresoccasional evening calls

·       GoodTo Have:

o  Experience with CBTC System Design, maintenance, operations ortesting

o  Experience with scripting languages like Python, Perl, or Ruby

o  Previous exposure to some of the technologies we use
