Job Description - Technical Sales Engineer

Job Title: Technical Sales Engineer (Advanced Technologies)

Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and technically-proficient Technical Sales Engineer to join our team. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between complex technological solutions and real-world client needs. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and driving the sales of high-tech electronic products, software/hardware systems, and integrated solutions, including Automation, IoT, Robotics, and AI.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong engineering foundation, a proactive mindset, and the ability to manage the entire project lifecycle—from the initial technical proposal to successful on-site implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development: Actively identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities within the high-tech electronics and systems sectors.

  • Solution Consulting: Understand client pain points and translate them into technical requirements. Propose tailored solutions involving AI, IoT, and automated systems.

  • End-to-End Project Management: Take ownership of projects from the initial proposal phase through to technical implementation and final handover.

  • Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary technical point of contact, ensuring seamless communication between clients, internal R&D/engineering teams, and external partners.

  • Technical Presentations: Conduct professional demonstrations and technical presentations to C-level executives and technical leads.

  • Market Intelligence: Leverage logical analysis to evaluate market trends and competitor technologies, providing feedback to the product development team.

Requirements

  • Educational Background: Minimum Diploma in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field); a Bachelor’s Degree is highly preferred.

  • Technical Experience: 1–3 years of experience in project participation or technical development. Familiarity with the application development of Electronics, Software, or AI systems is essential.

  • Logical Prowess: Excellent analytical and logical judgment skills regarding the application of technology in industrial or commercial settings.

  • Communication Skills: Full professional proficiency in English and Mandarin (both written and spoken) to effectively collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders and partners.

  • Soft Skills: A proactive "hunter" mindset for sales, combined with the patience and precision of an engineer.

  • Leadership (Bonus): Prior experience in team management or project leadership is a significant advantage.
