Technical Superintendent (Owner Representative)

Responsibilities

• Deploy preventive actions and lead incident investigations to enhance fleet HSE culture
• Ensure vessels comply continuously with all Class, Flag State, and statutory regulations
• Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance processes to meet company standards
• Monitor and maintain maintenance OPEX budgets to control costs effectively
• Participate in defining the annual maintenance budget aligned with operational needs
• Collaborate monthly with Cost Controller and Vessel Manager to control maintenance expenses
• Conduct annual technical inspections of allocated vessels to ensure operational readiness
• Manage and provide hierarchical leadership to Chief Engineers across the fleet

Required competencies and certifications

• Thorough knowledge of ISM, ISPS, SOLAS, MARPOL, MLC, and STCW standards
• Proficiency in CMMS tools and maintenance procedures for fleet management
• Ability to analyze, investigate, and lead technical projects to resolution
• Functional coordination and project management skills to drive maintenance initiatives
• Leadership, priority management, attention to detail, and pedagogical skills to guide teams
• Certificate of Competency Class 1/2/3
