Technician / Production Technician

The Opportunity
We are looking for a Production Technician to join our Operations team. The role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining production equipment and machinery to support daily production activities.

The Production Technician will work closely with the Shift Leaders, Senior Foreman, Foreman, and Superintendent to ensure production runs smoothly, safely, and according to schedule.

About the Role
As a Production Technician, you will be responsible for supporting production operations, handling machine setup and adjustments, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring product quality meets the required specifications.

You will also assist in preventive maintenance, production wastage monitoring, shift communication, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Reporting to Shift Leaders / Senior Foreman / Foreman / Superintendent.
• To perform troubleshooting and resolve technical issues to minimize the disruption to production.
• To rectify and resolve any quality issues in products to meet required product specifications.
• Ensure production targets are met according to production schedule planned.
• Set up machinery / equipment for operation according to production schedule.
• Make adjustments to machinery / equipment when necessary to ensure products quality are met within spec’s requirements.
• Maintain safe, orderly and clean work environment in the workplace.
• Perform and provide guidance to all trainee’s and operators on product conversion, equipment set up, equipment adjustments and part of maintenance tasks to meet all standard for safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Perform routine Preventive Maintenance as per scheduled and ensure related required documentation were sufficiently detailed, correct and updated on time.
• Assist in monitor production wastage and take prompt action when necessary.
• Maintain an effective communication between shifts.

Secondary Responsibilities

• Assist superior in spare part inventory management.
• Provide and assist the technical improvement project support when necessary.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by superior.

Job Requirements

• Nitec / NTC-3.
• Basic technical skills and knowledge in Automation Engineering / Progressive Stamping.
