Test Engineer

Job Summary

Manage lab operations and execute comprehensive SSD validation testing on laptop and desktop systems to ensure product quality and issue resolution.

Responsibilities

• Manage lab operations and maintain 6S standards to ensure a safe, organized, and efficient work environment
• Perform black box testing of SSDs on various laptop and desktop systems to validate product functionality
• Set up test environments and systems to prepare for validation activities
• Update test plans regularly and communicate project status to stakeholders to ensure transparency and progress tracking
• Execute complete validation find-fix cycles to identify and resolve product issues continuously
• Conduct first pass failure analysis to detect defects early in the validation process
• Perform debugging and evaluations to resolve issues and improve product quality
• Work comfortably in an ESD-protected lab environment to prevent electrostatic damage during testing

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Computer, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering
• Experience installing operating systems, assembling, and debugging laptop/desktop systems to support testing activities
• Experience using Oscilloscopes and Bus Analyzers to assist in hardware diagnostics
• Basic working knowledge of Windows and/or Linux OS such as Ubuntu for test environment setup
• Programming knowledge in Python or C++ to support automation or debugging tasks
• Knowledge of SSD technology to enhance understanding of product behavior during testing

• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm (except Public Holidays)
