Tunnel Geologist

Job description:

· Conduct interpretation of actual soil conditions and test results and oversee all tunnel works

· Planning of executive work schedule based on contract schedule for responsible area

· Highlight technical issues and update the Tunnel Manager as and when necessary

· Conduct face mapping to understand the ground condition for tunneling

· Support the tunneling operation from a geological viewpoint

· Provide geological supervision to the tunneling operation

· Ensure the work complies with the project protocol

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering

Minimum 5 years of TBM bored tunneling experience

Good knowledge of local authority requirements and engineering standards

Good computer skills to fulfill the job functions

Ability to analyze and synthesize complex issues quickly
