Warehousing Supervisor (Manufacturing)

• Motivate and maintain high employee morale
• Mentor and coach subordinates
• Maintains high standards of conduct and leadership
• To ensure employees are utilizing materials effectively
• Building and maintains effective working relationships with all departments of the organization
• Manages departmental work schedule while utilizing various systems
• Ensure all output built meets departmental standards of safety, quality, productivity, efficiency, 5S and budgetary (tools, scrap,etc.) goals
• Responsible for departmental reporting to management
• Ensure teams members are adequately trained and make recommendations for any professional development
• Evaluate and make recommendations on hiring
• Performance evaluation on team members and identify opportunities and development programs for improvement
• Perform performance appraisals and propose recommendations for improvement
• Manages employee manpower levels and adjust as required during last minute call offs occur or priorities change, escalation when required
• Work with Quality Technician for engineering updates and employee training
• Provide cross training to cross functional departments within the plant
• Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• At least Diploma or equivalent experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing environment
• Experience supervising in a warehouse setting strongly preferred
• Able to take on overtime rotation
