On behalf of one of its clients, in the banking sector, the French Chamber of Commerce is looking for a Desktop Engineer.
The Desktop Engineer will serve as a Technical RUN engineer, providing workstation support in ASIA for our banking client. In this role, you will be responsible for handling and resolving all production support activities within the End User Computing
(EUC) team based in Singapore.
Main responsibilities:
- Responding to escalated incidents from L1 support.
- Managing tasks and alerts efficiently.
- Handling change management, including roadmap preparation and execution of RFC.
- Understanding the global IT structure to anticipate organizational interrelationships.
- Actively keeping abreast of new technologies and trends, evaluating their potential integration into the bank's operations.
- Conducting health checks and taking necessary actions.
- Managing service requests, changes, escalated incidents, and other tasks.
- Leading projects related to desktop support in Asia.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Programming & Systems Analysis, or related field.
- Minimum 3-10 years of experience supporting Windows workstations, preferably in the financial sector.
- Experience in troubleshooting technical solutions for workstation incidents.
- Proficient in Windows environment administration, with strong understanding of network concepts and Active Directory.
- Familiarity with Altiris deployment tools, Appsense, Visual Basic, and PowerShell scripting.
- Innovative mindset to enhance end user experience.
- Proficiency in installing and configuring computer hardware, preferably HP/Dell.
- Ability to identify common incidents and opportunities for incident reduction through root cause analysis.
- Proficiency in basic to advanced video conferencing software, supporting and troubleshooting conference room equipment.
- Proficient in French to communicate effectively with French counterparts.
