Job Description - Engineer (Instrumentation)

Job Description:

- Develop expertise in extracting data from CAN bus, LIN bus, various ports, and communication protocols (including wireless) used in military and commercial vehicles.

- Analyse extracted data to identify potential failures and predict maintenance needs before they occur.

- Collaborate with data analysts and other stakeholders to develop and refine predictive models.

- Prepare and present data-driven recommendations to optimize maintenance schedules and resource allocation.

- Work on site with field technicians to implement preventative maintenance actions based on data analysis.

- Stay current with advancements in predictive maintenance technologies and industry best practices.

- Champion the development and implementation of platform instrumentation for future predictive maintenance initiatives.

- Opportunities to expand into other related fields of engineering within the team.

Job Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Robotics/Mechatronics Engineering

- Minimum 1 year of experience in a technical role related to vehicle systems or data analysis preferred.

- Strong understanding of CAN bus, LIN bus, communication protocols, and data acquisition techniques.

- Software programming knowledge

- Proven experience with data analysis tools and methodologies.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Experience with military and/or commercial vehicle systems is a plus.

- Hands-on experience with vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting is preferred.

- Good interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with work counterparts across all levels (including customers, suppliers, management)

- Customer-oriented and diplomatic

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

- Positive attitude and self motivated, and "Can Do" attitude

- Strong organizational and coordination skills and good presentation skills

- Must be both an independent and strong team player

- Able to work in a dynamic environment, and resilient to changes
