Lab Chemist Analyst / Wet Analyst - 7341

Job Info:

• Basic $3500 - $4500 + PB
• West
• Monday to Friday 9am - 6pm

Job Description:

• Conduct post-test results
• Assist with the execution of tests under heavy load
• Engage customers to build and maintain strong relationships by understanding their testing objectives
• Provide advice and technical explanations to customers regarding standard test methods, acceptance criteria, and result analysis
• Provide advice on calibration points and the required degree of accuracy and precision before calibration of departmental test equipment
• Ensure appropriate standard test methods are used for departmental tests
• Ensure technicians follow written procedures while performing tests
• Maintain and oversee preventive maintenance, periodic verification, standardization, or calibration of departmental test equipment
• Review calibration certificates for errors/correction factors to be applied during operations and update the uncertainty budget table
• Maintain and monitor long-term quality indicators such as control charts

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or relevant Engineering/ Science Field with min. 1 years of relevant experience
• Experience in performing tests for Spark OES, ICP-OES, Combustion and ONH is an added advantage
• Experience in ISO 9001 Manufacturing or QAQC role or equivalent, or ISO 17025 Accredited Laboratory Role is an added advantage
• Possess knowledge of common material specifications and metallic material properties.
