Marine Service Engineer

Job Description:

As a Service Technician specializing in marine diesel engines, you will be responsible for performing maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks on marine engines and associated electronic automation systems. You will work closely with our service team to ensure the smooth operation of marine vessels and uphold the highest standards of service quality.

Responsibilities:

Technical Maintenance and Repair:

Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on marine diesel engines, including inspection, cleaning, and replacement of parts as necessary.

Diagnose and troubleshoot engine malfunctions, electrical faults, and electronic automation system issues.

Conduct testing and calibration of engine control systems and electronic components to ensure optimal performance.

Engine Overhaul and Reconditioning:

Assist in the overhaul and reconditioning of marine engines and related components, including cylinder heads, pistons, and fuel injection systems.

Disassemble, inspect, and rebuild engine components according to manufacturer specifications and industry best practices.

Electronic Automation Systems:

Familiarize yourself with electronic automation systems used in marine vessels, including engine control systems, propulsion systems, and monitoring devices.

Troubleshoot and repair electronic automation system faults, including wiring issues, sensor malfunctions, and software glitches.

Qualifications:

Diploma or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or related field.

Proven experience as a Service Technician specializing in marine diesel engines and electronic automation systems.

In-depth knowledge of marine diesel engine components, operation principles, and maintenance procedures.

Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical and electronic faults in marine systems.

Familiarity with engine control systems, electronic automation software, and diagnostic tools.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
