M&E Engineer

Job Descriptions

• Checking, evaluation and negotiating of vendor/supplier quotation;
• Compliance with Spec/drawings example identify deviations/picking up of key pts/special requirement;
• Preparation and compilation of M&E pricing and technical for submission
• Provide answers/response to any subsequent request for clarifications;
• Develop costing as part of quotation process;
• Attends tender interviews as and when necessary and response to clarifications / replies;
• Sourcing and preparation of information for participation in tender exercise including measurement, inviting quotations, detail costing and submission of tenders;
• Attends site show round to understand the project requirements as and when needed;
• Preparation and seeking clarifications with respective consultants regarding the discrepancies in the scope of work and drawings and ensures the replacement of addendum, drawings, etc after clarifications;
• Preparation of tender documents, specification and drawings to invite suppliers for quotation
• Preparation of BQ which involves quantity take-off, materials sourcing, measuring and estimating material and labour costs used in the tendering process;
• Provides effective support to project management teams by ensuring that the contracts are administered in accordance with contractual obligations and effective cost management strategies;
• Sources, negotiates and procures trade packages in compliance with project requirements and time schedules including the drafting of sub-contractual documents;
• Assist in MEP contractual and variation order management and documentation requirements;
• Co-ordinates and liaise internally with team members;
• Develops good professional working relationships with suppliers, vendors, sub-contractors, clients/employers and consultants;
• Any other duties as may be assigned.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in MEP design and construction, preferably in the building construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to MEP systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
