Job Description - Regional Sustainability Lead

About the Role:

  • Working independently to deliver and oversee sustainability services in a manner consistent with contract objectives, guiding principles and client requirements
  • Owning and maintain the client relationship, including ensuring KPIs are achieved and that sustainability delivery goals are achieved.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the governance relationship and oversight of the APAC sustainability program / platform.
  • Contributing to and responsible for delivering upon the annual Sustainability Action Plan aligned with Client’s global Sustainability strategy.
  • Advising and assisting Asset Management team with regards to sustainability portfolio and asset planning, climate resilience and application and uptake of green leasing programs.
  • Delivering the sustainability program across APAC and working collaboratively with other departments within Facility Management and Asset Management.
  • Providing subject matter expertise to identify opportunities for resource efficiency improvements, including the identification of operational, capital and management strategies, tactics and projects; including the development of business cases.
  • Contributing to the preparation of monthly and quarterly client environmental performance reports (e.g. energy consumption and savings, water and waste performance and other projects as and when identified) and support any legal and voluntary reporting obligations.
  • Inputting data where required into in-house sustainability reporting tool.
  • Use reports generated from the Building Insights tool to visually highlight performance in monthly and quarterly reporting.

About You:

  • Post-graduate qualifications in environmental science, engineering or related discipline.
  • 5+ years' experience delivering sustainability strategies and solutions in the (preferable) real estate industry.
  • Demonstrated experience driving sustainability outcomes and achieving carbon, energy, waste and water goals.
  • Demonstrated experience of developing strong client relations and presenting detailed information and reports to all levels of client management.
  • Knowledge of relevant energy and carbon management legislation, regulations and standards.
  • Excellent research, analytical and report writing skills.
  • Works independently, uses initiative and exercises sound judgment.
  • Excellent project and program planning, management and organisational skills to support the prioritisation of workload and deliverables.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
