Service Engineer (Crane)

The Opportunity

• Permanent role
• Work location: West Region
• Work hours: Monday- Friday, 9am - 6pm (standby on weekends)

Our client, a prominent multinational corporation specializing in Heavy Construction and Machinery, is seeking an Engineer with robust technical proficiency in Heavy Vehicles. This individual will be tasked with offering technical support to end users in Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia.

The Job

• Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile crane and crawler cranes.
• Conduct new or used crane training and commissioning.
• Conduct crane inspections, prepare inspection reports, and recommend new replacement parts.
• Conduct crane erection training for mobile telescopic and crawler crane types.
• Apply electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical theory and related crane knowledge to rectify crane faults.
• Perform crane fault diagnostics using Software (i.e., Sculi, LIDIA, etc.)
• Test mechanical and electrical products and crane equipment after repair or modification to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer’s specifications.
• Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.

The Talent

• Minimum of 5 years of pertinent experience within the crane industry, demonstrating a deep understanding of its operations and requirements.
• Possesses fundamental knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems, crucial for effective troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Capable of working in a heavy machinery environment, including tasks under chassis or at heights, ensuring safety protocols are followed meticulously.
• Due to on-site crane servicing responsibilities, must meet physical demands such as lifting and carrying wire ropes, climbing ladders and stairways, frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and requiring significant finger dexterity.
