Systems Engineer (Deployment and Support)

Responsibilities:

• Installation, configuration, testing and commissioning of Systems, including Operating Systems, Applications Software and System Management Tools for deployment, POCs, trials and projects
• Testing of Applications for performance, stability and reliability after deployment
• Basic networking knowledge
• Create basic batch tasks and scripts for systems
• Test, diagnose, troubleshoot and perform basic hardware repairs
• Understanding of electrical, electronic and mechanical systems
• Conduct User Training, including providing User Guides for customers
• Technical support and maintenance to customers
• Perform ad-hoc special assignments as directed, using experience and knowledge acquired on the job, such as testing of new hardware devices and applications
• Reporting to System Engineering Team Lead

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or any related discipline
• Minimum 2 years of experience in deployment and support roles
• Experience in deploying applications on Windows/Linux
• Knowledge of Passport scanners, kiosks, Autogates and Biometrics Devices, IP Cameras is an added advantage
• Good interpersonal and communication skills for correspondence and discussion with customers technical counterpart
• Reliable, flexible and adaptable to situations with good aptitude in problem isolation and solving skills during project implementation
• Willing to learn new skills required for job tasks
• Ability to work with minimum supervision and able to carry out instructions accurately
• Some flexibility in working hours
• A team player and dedicated to complete the tasks as assigned
