Job Description

The Technology Center TLM Manager is responsible for supporting interaction between the field, maintenance and the center. This person coordinates manufacturing and sustaining activities to achieve quality, reliability and life-cycle cost reduction objectives for products.

The Technology Center TLM Manager guides the Rapid Response initiative with strict adherence to Concurrent Lifecycle Management. This person guides the InTouch group to represent the field and maintenance organization in the center, providing on-time and accurate support to field operations and feedback to Engineering, Manufacturing, Technology Lifecycle Management and Documentation teams.

The Technology Center TLM Manager reports to Division Reliability Cost of Service Delivery Manager.

Successful Technology Center TLM Managers are excellent communicators, enjoy solving problems, and work well in teams.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for global Technology Lifecycle Management sustaining of surface equipment business line in Fluids and Cabins
  • Liase with global maintenance organizations to drive efficiency improvements and technology advancement.
  • Field support, service quality investigation, equipment modification reviews, rapid response design solutions.
  • Plans and strategize reliability and cost leadership for the portfolio.
  • Responsible in overall portfolio strategy covering obsolescence, digital, asset improvement deployment.
  • Liase with business line management to address demand though design solutions.
  • Responsible for new product development of global cementing and surface cabins portfolio.
  • Responsible for quality, safety, health and environment standards of the Technology Lifecycle Management, Rapid Response, InTouch and Documentation teams and activities in the center.
  • Responsible for center manufacturing support covering quality, supply chain and testing.
  • Manage budget for associated groups.
  • Participate in resource identification, hiring and career development. Select objectives, and communicate vision, objectives and action plans to personnel.
  • Identify training weaknesses and develop action plans to improve performance.
  • Participate in internal audits to ensure conformance to standards.
  • Provide input to business plans within the Technology Center and associated Divisions.
  • Prioritize technology center resources based on suitability, cost and funding of activities.
  • Achieve quality, reliability, cost reduction objectives of commercial products and manage their obsolescence when needed.
  • Introduce and improve Rapid Response initiatives.
  • Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelors/Masters in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 12+ years of experience in:
  • Global field operations and maintenance support in land/offshore cementing, surface cabins, mud drilling technology
  • Global maintenance strategy / plans and implementation
  • Maintenance efficiency solutions and measurements
  • Knowledge in CMMS, Technology Lifecycle Management, RCA
  • Engineering and new product management
  • Managing team size of >40 headcount
  • Managing resource budget of >$6M USD
  • Desirable experience/skills/languages.
  • PMP, SCRUM Master
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in English Language
