Business Development Manager

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) industry.
• Build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with key clients, event organizers, and industry stakeholders.
• Plan and implement effective sales strategies to achieve or exceed revenue targets.
• Promote a comprehensive range of MICE services, including event space, catering, and technical solutions.
• Monitor market trends and industry developments to uncover growth opportunities.

Event Coordination Support

• Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless planning and execution of events.
• Assist clients throughout the event lifecycle, from initial inquiry to post-event evaluation.
• Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of event requirements.

Client Relationship Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
• Conduct site inspections, deliver presentations, and prepare proposals for prospective clients.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms in accordance with organizational policies.
• Provide tailored solutions that align with clients’ event objectives and deliver a high-quality experience.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related discipline.
• At least 3–5 years of sales experience within the MICE or hospitality industry, with a consistent record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong skills in negotiation, presentation, and communication.
• Solid understanding of the MICE landscape, including current market trends and client expectations.
• Proven ability to build and sustain long-term client relationships while delivering tailored, client-centric solutions.
• Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strategic thinker who can work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences and creating positive client outcomes.
• A collaborative team player who takes ownership of responsibilities and contributes proactively.
• Willing to support cross-functional initiatives and adapt to evolving business needs.
• Positive attitude with a good sense of humor and approachable demeanor.
