Role Overview
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving new business acquisition, building strong client relationships, and contributing directly to revenue growth in Singapore.
This role is suited for a proactive and commercially driven individual who enjoys consultative selling, identifying new market opportunities, and working closely with corporate clients to provide event, venue, and platform-based solutions.
The successful candidate will be expected to manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation through to proposal, negotiation, closing, and account development.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, prospect, and acquire new corporate clients across Singapore and regional markets
Develop and execute business development strategies to drive revenue growth
Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners, venues, and business partners
Understand client requirements and recommend suitable MICE, venue sourcing, or SaaS-based solutions
Manage the full sales cycle, including lead generation, pitching, proposal preparation, negotiation, and deal closing
Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor activity, and new business opportunities
Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth client onboarding, service delivery, and post-sales support
Maintain accurate sales pipeline updates, client records, and activity reporting
Represent the company professionally at client meetings, networking events, and industry-related activities
Stay updated on MICE industry trends, digital event solutions, and evolving corporate client needs
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience in business development, sales, account management, or client-facing commercial roles
Prior experience in MICE, events, hospitality, travel, venue management, SaaS, or B2B platform sales will be advantageous
Strong track record in lead generation, client acquisition, relationship management, and revenue growth
Confident in managing the end-to-end sales process, including pitching, negotiation, and closing
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Commercially driven, target-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams
Good understanding of corporate client needs and consultative selling approaches
Familiarity with SaaS platforms, digital solutions, or technology-enabled services will be a plus
Exposure to Southeast Asian markets and/or Chinese business culture will be advantageous
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, Events, or a related field preferred
