Event Operations Manager - WCAN

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end management of projects and events (virtual, hybrid, live), including planning, budgeting, programme design, and execution to meet business objectives
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and suppliers, while identifying upselling opportunities and ensuring high client satisfaction
• Coordinate and lead project teams by assigning roles based on strengths, fostering collaboration, and mentoring team members for performance and development
• Conduct pre- and post-event briefings, leveraging data analysis and market insights to improve outcomes and drive continuous improvement
• Ensure adherence to processes, support cross-functional teams, and represent the organisation at industry events and networking platforms
• Manage project financials, including budgeting, cost control, and validation of income and expenditure to ensure profitability
• Oversee supplier management, including negotiations, contract arrangements, and service delivery performance
• Maintain accurate documentation and update project management tools and systems to ensure operational efficiency and data integrity

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the meetings and events industry
• Proven track record in planning and delivering large-scale virtual and in-person events across APAC and international markets
• Experienced in budget management, financial planning, and cost control
• Strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities with the ability to engage stakeholders effectively
• Willingness to travel for site inspections and on-site event execution as required
• Good knowledge of local hotels, venues, and event sites suitable for international clients
• Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and professional presentation
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
• Capable of motivating, mentoring, and developing team members
