Florist Apprentice / Florist [ Full Time / 44 hours per week]

Working Days: Wednesday to Sunday, or Thursday to Sunday, depending on event hours
Working Hours: 44 hours per week
Weekend Work: Required
Mode: Full time - Weddings & Events

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist florists with the preparation of fresh flowers for weddings and events.

• Learn basic flower conditioning, trimming, arrangement and maintenance techniques.

• Support the preparation of bridal bouquets, boutonnieres, table arrangements, bridal car decorations and other wedding florals.

• Prepare floral materials, tools and decorative items in the studio before each event.

• Follow the event team to wedding venues for floral installation and decoration setup.

• Assist with arranging flowers on backdrops, tables, aisles and other event structures.

• Assist with packing, loading and unloading floral materials and decorations.

• Assist with dismantling and packing after events when required.

• Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the floral preparation area.

• Perform other floral preparation and event support duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Prior florist or floral arrangement experience is an advantage but not compulsory; training will be provided.

• Able to perform hands-on work and stand for extended periods during event setup.

• Able to lift and carry floral materials and decorations safely.

• Comfortable working in the studio and at different event venues.

• Able to work weekends and flexible event hours.

• Responsible and able to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

Additional Information:

• Work schedules are planned according to wedding and event requirements.

• Time off in lieu will be provided, where applicable, for additional hours worked
