ASSISTANT COOK

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of food items according to company recipes and production requirements.
• Prepare ingredients such as washing, cutting, peeling, and portioning food materials.
• Support cooks in daily food production and catering operations.
• Ensure food is prepared in accordance with quality, hygiene, and safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and food preparation areas.
• Assist in packing, labeling, and storing food products where required.
• Monitor and replenish ingredients and kitchen supplies as needed.
• Follow food safety procedures, workplace safety requirements, and company operating procedures.
• Assist with stock receiving and proper storage of food ingredients.
• Perform other kitchen-related duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

Requirements

• Relevant experience in food preparation, catering, or kitchen operations is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safe food handling practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced food production environment.
• Willing to learn and follow company procedures and instructions.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods and handle kitchen-related tasks.
• Responsible, reliable, and committed to maintaining food quality standards.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
