Job Description - Assistant HR Manager

The Assistant Human Resource Manager supports the Management and HR department in daily HR operations and administrative functions. The role focuses on assisting with HR coordination, employee support, and implementation of company HR policies, while reporting to senior management for approval and direction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in recruitment activities such as posting job advertisements, scheduling interviews, and coordinating onboarding arrangements.
  • Support employee onboarding, offboarding, and documentation processes.
  • Maintain and update employee records, attendance, leave, and HR databases accurately.
  • Assist in administering payroll preparation, claims, and employee benefits documentation.
  • Support training coordination, staff engagement activities, and HR-related programmes.
  • Handle basic employee enquiries regarding HR policies, leave, and company procedures.
  • Assist in preparing HR reports, manpower statistics, and documentation for management review.
  • Support performance appraisal exercises and HR administrative processes.
  • Ensure HR documents comply with company policies and relevant labour regulations.
  • Experience with R.B.A. is an added advantage.
  • Coordinate with department supervisors and external vendors on HR-related matters when required.

Scope & Reporting

  • Works under the guidance and supervision of the Director or senior management
  • Supports implementation of HR initiatives rather than making final policy decisions
  • Does not hold full departmental authority or final approval responsibilities for HR strategic matters
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ready to step of their comfort zone to take on new challenges and grow with the company
  • Able to multi-task and have good time management and ability in meeting tight datelines
