Catering Manager

• Oversee catering operations, logistics coordination, and event execution
• Oversee on-site event logistics including setup, execution, and tear-down to meet client expectations
• Support event operations by ensuring overall presentation meets expectations, proper labelling of dishes, and timely food replenishment
• Actively engage guests with a warm, professional, and helpful attitude
• Handle guest inquiries regarding allergens, dietary options, and menu items
• Ensure service quality and client satisfaction, implementing improvements as necessary
• Conduct daily briefings with staff on orders, special requests, and service standards
• Guide and coach catering staff on service etiquette, food handling, and hygiene
• Report service issues, complaints, or equipment problems to the management promptly
• Conduct daily temperature checks on hot/cold food displays and log records accurately
• Plan and schedule daily deliveries to ensure timeliness and efficiency
• Proactively monitor and resolve day-to-day delivery or logistic issues
• Lead, supervise, manage, and motivate the operations team for peak performance and professionalism
• Schedule staff roster to ensure good and sufficient allocation of manpower for service
• Supervise workflows including warehousing, inventory, and food safety compliance
• Manage proper usage, cleanliness, and maintenance of vehicles and operational equipment
• Act as a backup driver when necessary
• Support restaurant operations when necessary
• Assist with special projects
• Perform any other job tasks assigned by the management

Requirements:

• Prior experience as Catering Operations Manager
• Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills
• Confident, outgoing personality and positive attitude
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Able to cope in fast-paced environment with heavy volume
• Ability to multi-task
• Proficient in Mandarin (spoken and written) to coordinate event requirements and communicate kitchen orders accurately with the Chefs
• Class 3/4 driving licence
