Job Summary
You will lead and manage the daily kitchen operations to deliver high-quality, authentic traditional Indian cuisine, focusing on North Indian and Bangladeshi dishes. You will supervise and coach junior kitchen staff, plan ingredient procurement, and innovate menus to meet customer expectations while maintaining food safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare authentic traditional Indian dishes, with a focus on North Indian and Bangladeshi cuisine, applying expert knowledge of herbs and spices to ensure flavor and quality
  • Supervise and coach junior kitchen staff to enhance culinary skills and maintain operational efficiency
  • Plan and arrange ingredients and supplies for daily preparation and customer orders to ensure timely service
  • Develop and introduce new dishes and menus that align with quality standards and customer preferences
  • Monitor and maintain stock levels and inventory, ensuring proper stock rotation procedures to minimize waste
  • Control portion sizes and implement waste management practices to optimize food cost efficiency
  • Manage kitchen staff activities, including scheduling, task delegation, and performance oversight
  • Oversee equipment purchases, maintenance, and repairs to ensure kitchen functionality
  • Address and resolve operational issues promptly to maintain smooth kitchen workflow
  • Maintain a positive and professional work environment with co-workers and customers
  • Adapt to flexible working hours, including split shifts, and perform effectively under high-pressure conditions during peak periods
