Job Description - Chef (Korean Cuisine)

Job Description

  • Prepare and cook authentic Korean cuisine according to company recipes and quality standards.
  • Plan and develop Korean menu items while maintaining consistency in taste and presentation.
  • Handle food preparation, ingredient portioning and kitchen operations.
  • Monitor food quality, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness in compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Manage inventory, minimise food wastage and coordinate ingredient ordering.
  • Train and supervise junior kitchen staff when required.
  • Work on rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Job Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of authentic Korean cooking techniques, ingredients and traditional recipes.
  • Able to prepare a wide range of Korean dishes, including soups, stews, BBQ, noodles and side dishes.
  • Experience in a high-volume restaurant environment.
  • Good knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety standards.
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
