Job Description - Cook: Indian Sweets Master

We specialize in selling freshly made Indian sweets and snacks in Singapore. Our products are customized, healthy, and delicious — prepared without any preservatives.

Job Summary

Join our team as a skilled Sweets & Snacks Master to prepare traditional Indian mithai and farsan with authentic taste and quality, ensuring hygiene and efficient kitchen operations in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare a variety of traditional sweets such as Gulab Jamun, Jalebi, Barfi, Ladoo, Halwa, Rasgulla, Peda, Mysore Pak, Kaju Katli, and seasonal specialties
  • Maintain consistent taste, texture, and quality in every batch of sweets and snacks
  • Accurately manage sugar syrup consistency, ghee usage, and ingredient ratios to ensure product quality
  • Prepare sweets for festivals and special occasions including Diwali, Eid, and weddings
  • Follow standard recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure uniformity and cost control
  • Maintain hygiene and food safety standards compliant with Singapore NEA/SFA regulations
  • Manage inventory of raw materials such as dairy, flour, sugar, ghee, dry fruits, and spices to support uninterrupted production
  • Coordinate daily production planning with the kitchen team to meet demand efficiently
  • Minimize wastage and control production costs through effective resource management
  • Ensure proper packaging and shelf-life management to maintain freshness and presentation for display and delivery
  • Propose new recipes and seasonal menu items to enhance product offerings

Required competencies and certifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience preparing Indian sweets and snacks as a maker or Halwai
  • Valid passport and ability to obtain a Singapore work pass (TEP/S Pass/Work Permit)

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Expertise in both North and South Indian sweet varieties
  • Knowledge of dairy-based sweets including khoya, paneer, and chhena, as well as fried snacks
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment
  • Willingness to relocate to Singapore
