Go Graduate Finance

During the International Rotation, the GO Graduate will gain hands-on experience within strategic finance management within a global procurement context. The assignment includes budgeting, forecasting, and fixed cost management, as well as developing forward-looking cost projections that support strategic decision-making. The graduate will work closely with regional and global teams to ensure alignment, transparency, and standardized reporting, building expertise in financial planning, analysis, and governance while gaining a holistic understanding of how finance drives procurement performance globally.

Global procurement is providing services for majority of business units within Asahi. The close cooperation and understanding of individual global, regional and local procurement processes is fundamental to understand how the value is created for individual business units.

Global Integrated Business Planning Project

• The objective of this initiative is to align regional planning processes with the global procurement function, ensuring a consistent and forward-looking cost baseline across the organization.
• The process begins with the consolidation of projected volumes from supply chain teams, followed by alignment on key planning assumptions, including inflation, salary increases, commodity indices, and energy prices. Based on these inputs, procurement develops forecasted prices at both SKU and category levels.
• These forecasts are reviewed and aligned across regional and global procurement teams to ensure consistency and transparency. Final validation and approval are obtained from regional finance teams.
• Once approved, the forecasts are used as the adjusted baseline for cost savings measurement and performance tracking.
• All assumptions, methodologies, and outputs are centrally documented, establishing a single source of truth and ensuring full transparency, consistency, and auditability across the organization.

Enhancement of Global Procurement Fixed Costs Management

• The project aims to optimize the planning, monitoring, and control of fixed costs within the global procurement function. Objectives include improving cost transparency, strengthening budget adherence, standardizing reporting, and establishing a centralized single source of truth for all fixed cost data.
