In-Room Dining (IRD) Captain

As an In-Room Dining Captain, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences directly to our guests' rooms. From coordinating orders to ensuring every meal is presented with care and professionalism, you will create memorable moments that reflect the warmth, quality, and character of our Tribute Portfolio brand.

What You Will Be Doing

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the In-Room Dining service to ensure timely, efficient, and personalised guest experiences
• Take guest orders accurately and provide recommendations on menu items when required
• Coordinate with the Kitchen and other departments to ensure orders are prepared, delivered, and cleared promptly
• Ensure all food and beverages are presented according to brand standards before delivery
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety within the In-Room Dining operation
• Handle guest feedback and resolve service concerns professionally, escalating issues where necessary
• Monitor inventory of operating equipment, amenities, and service supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels
• Assist in training, coaching, and guiding team members to maintain consistent service standards
• Support special requests, VIP amenities, and personalised guest experiences
• Work collaboratively with the Front Office, Housekeeping, Kitchen, and other departments to ensure seamless guest satisfaction
• Follow all safety, hygiene, and Marriott brand standards while carrying out daily responsibilities
• Take pride in every interaction by delivering attentive, genuine, and memorable hospitality

What We Are Looking For

• Prior experience in In-Room Dining, Restaurant, or Food & Beverage service within a 4- or 5-star hotel
• Previous supervisory or captain experience is preferred
• Pre-opening hotel experience is an added advantage
• Strong guest service mindset with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
• Positive attitude with a hands-on approach to leadership
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
• Able to start work within short notice
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays
