Junior Sous Chef (Pastry)

Working Location : Serangoon North
Working Hours : 7am to 4pm

Job Purpose :

Coordinate daily bakery operations, manpower scheduling, inventory management, food supplies and food wastage control.

Job Scope:

·      Assist to oversee preparation process, portioning, presentation and quality of bakery products.

·      Take ownership of supervising and guiding pastry team to deliver bakery products according to Company’s quality and cost requirements.

·      Ensure compliance to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.

·      Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by superior.

·      Ensure legal requirements and standards related to Sodexo Food Safety and Workplace Safety and Health are implemented and adhered during the entire operational processes related to Food Services and its scope of activities.

·      Ensure food safety procedures are adhered to by kitchen's team.

·      Always prepare food to the highest standard of quality.

·      Ensure only trained employees are deployed and have been briefed on their roles

·      Any other food safety related tasks assigned e.g. temperature monitoring of food, storage and equipment, taking food samples, cleaning activities.
